Tyler Carney
owner
With an educational background in horticulture and business from Northwest Missouri State, Tyler initially started the business as Corner Stone Landscaping in 2006 before transitioning to the niche market of outdoor living spaces and rebranding as Outdoor Odyssey in 2022.
Tyler is an experienced outdoor living space designer with extensive experience in landscape, outdoor kitchens, luxury backyards, and more.
When not running and maintaining his business, Tyler is enjoying life with his wife (Jessica) and their three children, volunteering for many community organizations, or is spending time outdoors.
ALEX SPACK
team member
Alex found his way to Outdoor Odyssey November 2023 after graduating from ACGC earlier that year.
The versatility of our business fits Alex’s skill set well. He excels through hands on experience and we can rely on him to do a wide range of tasks - all while having a smile on his face. Alex rounds out our year-round crew well and often brings a light hearted demeanor to the job site.
His favorite part of the job site is when home owners surprise the crew with fresh baked goods.
Alex enjoys all things outdoors. Between hunting seasons, you can find Alex cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes in any and every sport.
BO ARRASMITH

A 2024 graduate of ACGC High School, Bo has recently started his second summer with us.
With summer being our busiest time of year, we are fortunate to have a returning summer team member that knows the ropes and can hit the ground running. Bo appreciates the opportunity to return home and maintain local employment while school is on summer break.
During the school year, Bo attends South Dakota State University and is majoring in Conservation Planning and Park Management.
Bo is very active and enjoys a variety of hobbies from running and other sports to hanging out with friends.
MARSHALL HARRIS

Shortly after graduating from CAM High School, Marshall started with Outdoor Odyssey in June 2022 and jumped in ready to learn the business.
As our crew continues to grow, Marshall has become a leader to our new team members. He takes on the task of training new hires and leads projects when Tyler can’t be on site.
Marshall excels in understanding the logistics of our operations and works closely with Tyler to review the upcoming project list to ensure proper preparation of supplies and systems prior to arriving on the job site.
Time on the trap shooting range, hunting, and spending time with family are always on Marshall’s to do list while off the clock.
LYNN HANSEN
office administrator
You may hear from Lynn in your initial phone call from Outdoor Odyssey. She will get a good feel for your project vision and schedule your in person consultation with Tyler.
Lynn was hired in May 2024 and her role encompasses a variety of tasks on the back end of the business including billing, marketing, and customer service.
Lynn enjoys getting to know our customers and their projects and will often follow up after a project is complete to snap some photos for social media and other marketing opportunities.
With three children, Lynn and her husband (Kyle) stay busy running between activities. When not at work or chasing after her kids, you may find her on the golf course, trap range, or sitting in her recliner (or bleachers) crocheting.
ANTHONY SOLORZANO
summer team member
Tony has just started his first summer of employment with Outdoor Odyssey and is catching on fast. Still getting his feet wet, Tony has enjoyed working with his hands and appreciates working for a locally owned company.
With this summer’s docket overflowing, it has been beneficial to have an extra set of hands that is willing to do just about anything.
Tony is in the process of transferring to Iowa State University for his second year of college to study Athletic Training and Business Management.
Most evenings you will find Tony on the golf course, lifting weights, or hanging out with friends.
